Friends of Greenwich Crew is a Volunteer Parent Organization that provides services to our rowers NOT provided by the Greenwich Water Club. These services include:
- Organizing parent chaperones for the buses and overnight hotel stays;
- Serving on-site breakfasts, lunches, snacks, drinks and occasionally dinners, if the regatta runs late;
- Setting up tents and seating areas for the athletes
Friends of Greenwich Crew also organizes the end of the season Banquet and Team Dinners.
Many volunteers are needed in order to properly run the regattas:
- Co-chairs that organize each regatta and shop for food;

- Shift workers that help cook and serve the meals;
- Volunteers that help set-up the tents and tables and clean pots, pans and various equipment;
- Photographers;
- Trailer drivers; and
- Chaperones
Each family is asked to volunteer for at least one task at one regatta.
FOOD AND MEMBERSHIP FEES
The food fees run $10-11 per rower per day of the regatta. These are additional fees, not covered by the regatta fees collected by the water club. Friends of Greenwich Crew collects $30 per rower to cover these expenses.
Each family is requested to make a membership donation of at least $25 per family to cover non-food related costs of various regatta related supplies (tents, tables, pots, grill, etc) as well as communication expenses (this web site, printing costs).
If you have not already done so, please fill out the food and membership form.
